What you’ll be doing in this role
To set you up for success you will be supported by a friendly, collaborative and down-to-earth team and manager.

As a Wardsperson, you will take on a range of patient services including mobility of patients to various wards within the hospital, assisting your colleagues with the transferring and positioning of patients, transporting medical equipment and other patients related items along with providing manual handling assistant to wards and various hospital departments.

You will be on a rotating roster, with the first shift starting at 5am, and last starting at 11pm. Shifts vary from 4, 6 and 10-hour shifts providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

In this role you will provide outstanding customer service to patients and their families, along with working with our nurses, doctors, other healthcare professionals and non-clinical staff.

Who we’re looking for

  • You’ll have current or previous experience working in a face to face, customer service-based role, e.g. hospitality, where you can demonstrate providing assistance and helping others  
  • You'll demonstrate excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in communicating with others  
  • You’ll have the ability to work as a team player and also be able to work independently on your own
  • You will always be ready to provide support by being adaptable, willing to learn within a busy, team environment
  • Have full, unrestricted, Australian Working Rights
